Maximum capacity of the Horários do Funchal buses reduced to 2/3

According to the authorities' instructions, through resolution 623/2020, of 28 August, which maintains the calamity situation between 1 and 30 September, we inform that it is mandatory to use a mask or visor on board buses, by all users from 6 years old (inclusive). This change takes effect on 01 September 2020.

We request the collaboration of all users and reinforce our commitment to ensuring safe and comfortable public transport.

Please be advised that from 05:00 am on 06/11/2020 the maximum capacity of the Horários do Funchal Group buses (Horários do Funchal and Companhia dos Carros de São Gonçalo) will be reduced to 2/3.

Within the scope of the maximum capacity reduction:

a) If necessary, there will be travel reinforcement on the routes and schedules with greater demand;

b) Despite the travel reinforcement, for those who do not have school or work commitments, we appreciate the preference for using the public transport service during the hours with lower passenger’s affluence, which are between 9:00 and 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00 pm and from 19:00;

c) In addition to the maximum capacity reduction and the other measures adopted by the Group under the Covid-19 containment context (provision of alcohol gel, daily disinfection, etc.), the passengers’ civic attitude is essential for a safe public transport service provision, either at bus stops or inside the buses. We remind the mandatory use of a mask while on board of the buses;
